Welcome!
Welcome! On this page, you will find basic information about the Democracy4all program and our goals.
What is Democracy4All?
The Democracy4all initiative aims to enable meaningful political participation for people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
Awareness
We believe that meaningful political participation cannot exist without a society that recognizes and embraces diversity.
We facilitate community events, campaigns, and hands-on workshops to build bridges of understanding and advance a shared vision of coexistence and participation.
Mobilization
At Democracy4all, mobilization means providing communities with the space, skills and opportunities to engage effectively in politics and public decision-making. To move from silence to active participation and collective advocacy.
Our goal is to build a sustainable movement for participation, leadership and representation, with those who are too often pushed to the margins at its center. For us, mobilization is not just about showing up or being included on paper; it is an act of political equality and collective empowerment.
Self-Advocacy
For us, self-advocacy means not accepting inequality as something to endure, but actively demanding better living conditions.
Self-advocacy is the ability to stand up for your rights in a democratic way, and to advocate for better living conditions. At Democracy4all, we believe that people from refugee and migrant backgrounds should have the first and last say when it comes to their needs and their place in society. That is why our work is grounded in promoting self-advocacy.
Campaigns
Democracy4all’s campaigns are a living mechanism for advocacy, dialogue and collective mobilization.
Through our campaigns, we bring the demands, voices and contributions of people with refugee and migrant backgrounds to the forefront, and we push for a society that resists racism, xenophobia and intolerance.
